FAQ’S

FAQ’S

Do you hunt all day?

In Canada we hunt twice daily if you did not fill your bag limits for both ducks and geese that morning. If you “doubled up” that morning we will not hunt that evening. In Arkansas we duck hunt mornings only but we do book afternoon Specklebelly hunts.

Do I need to buy a special license for the conservation snow goose hunt?

No. A free permit can be obtained from the Arkansas Game and Fish on their website at AGFC.com. You will however need a valid hunting license from any state. If you do not have one, we recommend buying one from your home state as it will probably be your cheapest route.

What is included in the ‘’all inclusive package’’?

Your guided hunt, lodging, and meals are all included in the package. This is the premier hunting experience as all you have to do is show up and pull the trigger!

Do you require a deposit to book?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due when you book. The remainder is due on arrival.

Can I bring my dog?

No. We do not allow customers to bring their personal dogs. Our guides have well trained dogs that will round the birds up quickly and are seasoned hunters. There are many reasons for this policy. One being, if there are multiple groups hunting together we do not want any dog discrepancies getting in another groups way of having a great hunt.

What do I need to bring?

Bring Camouflage hunting clothes for both moderate and cold weather, waders if you are ducking hunting in Arkansas or if you use them as part of your “rain gear”, knee boots for field hunting, face mask or gator, gloves. In Canada we supply shells but in Arkansas we do not.We hunt in and amongst the decoys blending into the thick white feed line. We use low profile chairs with seats and padded backs to ensure comfort.

How many shells do I need to bring?

We recommend bringing at least a case of steel shot shells per two days you are hunting. If you run out we will have shells available for sale at the lodge. In Canada shells are provided.

Do I need an extension tube on my gun?

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND putting an extension tube on your shotgun to maximize the amount of shells you will be able to shoot into a volley. Extension tubes can be found online at nordiccomp.com as well as other retailers. *NOTE: This is for Arkansas snow goose conservation season only!

Do the guides accept tips?

Yes. Our guides work tirelessly picking up spreads and putting them out daily as well as scouting for new feeds everyday. These guys are our backbone and share a passion for killing geese that is second to none.  An average tip is 10% of the hunt.

What do you do with all of the birds?

We will clean them and package them for your transport home. That is included in our all inclusive package.
